In August, Emily and I traveled to Chicago to photograph Christina and Brandons engagement session! Christina and Brandon are another one of my couples who are originally from Cleveland, but moved to a different state.

Their wedding is still taking place in the Cleveland area, but they wanted to capture their love in Chicago as well! I love when couples reach out to me to do that. It not only gives me an opportunity to photograph them ahead of their wedding, but also gives me a great chance to travel. It’s truly the best of both worlds.

We started their session in Millennium Park, and made our way down to Grant Park. (The gorgeous fountain photos). I had only been to Chicago one other time before this trip, and let me tell you it was by far a better one! My first trip to Chicago was in January while it was 20 degrees and windy outside. The nickname “Windy City” was really holding up on that trip. Needless to say, getting to explore downtown Chicago in much warmer weather was much welcomed! Especially since we had a gorgeous Chicago engagement session to shoot!

After exploring Grant Park for a bit, we topped off their session with gorgeous dusk and night time photos with the Chicago skyline behind them along the riverwalk.

Chicago is now one of my favorite places to shoot, and I can’t wait for their wedding in October! Enjoy!
