This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Emily and Brad’s gorgeous Tudor House at Mason’s Cove wedding! It’s always an exciting experience when it’s our first time photographing a wedding at a new venue. Up until Emily and Brad hired us, we had never heard of the Tudor House before. In fact, occasionally on Tuesdays I will meet a run group at a parking lot directly in front of this place, and I never knew what it was until we rolled up on their wedding day!
Emily (my wife…not the bride) and I have always loved older style homes like this, so it was very inspiriting to photograph here. The interior was gorgeous and lent a stunning backdrop for gorgeous getting ready and detail photos. The basement of the Tudor House at Mason’s Cove had a pretty awesome “man cave” where the groom and his groomsmen could all get ready as well.
Emily and Brad decided to have an intimate first look before all the festivities began. Here they had sweet moments admiring how amazing each other looked, as well as sharing gifts they had for each other. I always love when couple decide to do a first look because it really allows them to have a private moment together before all their guests arrive and draw their attention.
They had their ceremony in front of the gazebo located right by the lake. Surrounded my some beautiful tree, with the lake in the background, the ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful. Once the ceremony concluded we spent some time having fun with their wedding party and capturing some amazing group shots.
Before the reception started, we boarded a pontoon boat and made our way around Portage Lakes to take some more stunning photos. It’s not every wedding where the couples charters a boat to take their guests around a lake!
Their reception took place under a massive, clear canopied tent overlooking the lake. You can see in their first dance photos just how cool it was to have the lake in the background during their reception! Despite a rainy start to the day, Emily and Brad’s Tudour House at Mason’s Cove wedding was absolutely gorgeous! We couldn’t be more excited for them and wish them years of joy and happiness. Congrats you two!
